Our History: Tradition and Future
In 1997, Thomas Zillner took over the leadership of Zillner Elektronik. However, as demand for components grew, customer requests also increased that could not be met due to strict contractual limitations. Customers sought more flexibility, variety, and a holistic approach to their project needs.

These challenges sparked a pivotal idea: in 2000, Martina Zillner founded Components at Service GmbH (CAS). As an independent distributor of electronic components, CAS could now flexibly meet customer needs, providing exactly the parts they required—free from the constraints of Zillner Elektronik’s existing contracts.
The founding of CAS was more than a response to market demand; it was a fusion of two worlds: the extensive experience and reliability of Zillner Elektronik with the agility and independence of a new company. Since then, CAS has grown into an essential partner, consistently supplying customers worldwide with the components needed for their projects, always with a forward-looking vision and commitment to long-term success. Today, CAS stands for service, flexibility, and customer proximity, with the Zillner family’s DNA present in every component and customer relationship.
